The results of the TRACE – Tracing Climate Change project were disseminated during the international conference “Climate and Environmental Changes in Central-Eastern Europe: Past, Present and Future”, held in Vatra Dornei, Romania, from 15 to 18 October 2026 and organised by Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava.
The conference brought together researchers, academics, and professionals from across Central and Eastern Europe to discuss current challenges and advances in environmental research, climate change, sustainability, and Earth system sciences. The event provided a valuable platform for scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Presenting TRACE Objectives and Achievements
During the conference, project representatives presented the main objectives, activities, and achievements of TRACE, highlighting the innovative educational resources and learning tools developed to enhance climate change literacy and support environmental education.
Particular emphasis was placed on the project’s interdisciplinary approach, combining climate science, geospatial analysis, and STEM education to promote a better understanding of climate change processes and their impacts.
Educational Materials and Digital Resources
The presentation also showcased the project’s key outputs, including the educational materials and digital resources created through collaboration among the partner institutions.
Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the methodologies adopted within TRACE and to discuss the potential for integrating the developed resources into teaching and learning activities at different educational levels.
Strengthening the Visibility of TRACE
By participating in CECCEE 2026, the TRACE consortium further increased the visibility of the project among researchers, educators, and environmental professionals, contributing to the wider dissemination and long-term impact of its results.
