TRACE Project Presented at the Just4MPA Conference

The TRACE project was presented at the Just4MPA Conference, held in Bucharest on 8–9 June 2025, providing an opportunity to showcase the project’s objectives, achievements, and expected impact to an audience of researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, and stakeholders.

Representing the TRACE consortium, Project Manager Mihaela Verga presented the project through a dedicated scientific poster, highlighting its interdisciplinary approach to understanding the impacts of climate change on geomorphological environments. The presentation introduced the project’s implementation plan, key research topics, including palaeogeography, morphotectonics, climate change, and key climate variables, as well as its educational and dissemination activities.

The poster also showcased the project’s main study sites, ongoing field campaigns, and the development of innovative educational resources designed to support students, researchers, and educators. By integrating research, field training, and STEM education, TRACE aims to improve the understanding of climate-driven environmental change while strengthening international academic collaboration.

The Just4MPA Conference offered an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge and establishing new connections with initiatives focused on environmental governance, marine and protected area management, and sustainable development. Participation in the event further increased the visibility of the TRACE project and opened new opportunities for future collaboration and dissemination of its results.
