TRACE Project Transnational Meeting in Bucharest

The first in-person Transnational Project Meeting of the TRACE project was successfully held on 14–15 September 2025 at the Faculty of Geography, University of Bucharest.

The meeting brought together representatives from all partner institutions, including the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), the Hellenic Educational Society of STEM (E3STEM), and Aix-Marseille University (AMU), with some participants joining remotely. This gathering provided an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration and ensure alignment across the consortium.

Over the course of two days, partners reviewed the overall progress of the project, assessed key achievements, and addressed current challenges. Particular attention was given to administrative and financial aspects, including the evaluation of the interim report, as well as the monitoring of both qualitative and quantitative performance indicators.

Dedicated sessions were held to present the status of each Work Package, highlighting ongoing activities such as field campaigns and the development of educational deliverables for the e-learning platform. The consortium also reviewed the communication and dissemination strategy and initiated preparations for upcoming multiplier events within Work Packages 3 and 4.

A key outcome of the project will be the development of open-access educational resources, which will be showcased during future training workshops organised by all partner universities. These workshops will enable students to explore the geomorphological imprint of climate change and to better understand the evolution of terrestrial—particularly coastal—landscapes through the application of modern geoscientific methods and techniques.

The meeting also included laboratory visits and dedicated discussion sessions, further enhancing cooperation between partners and supporting the coordinated implementation of future project activities.
