LinkedIn Profile:
Paul Cotin is a research engineer in coastal geomorphology and geomatics at the CEREGE (Centre Européen de Recherche et d’Enseignement des Géosciences de l’Environnement), Aix-Marseille University. His work focuses on the analysis of coastal and bathymetric changes in response to natural processes and climate change.
Within the TRACE project, he contributes to the study of coastal environments through the analysis of historical shoreline and bathymetric datasets. His work combines GIS, remote sensing, digital elevation models and geomorphological analysis to reconstruct long-term coastal evolution and assess future changes. He is particularly involved in the study of the Rhône River delta and the pocket beaches of the Hyères area in southern France.
He also contributes to the development of educational and scientific outreach materials for the TRACE project, including online resources, virtual field trips and communication content designed to make coastal geomorphology and climate change accessible to students and the general public.
