Marilena Andrikopoulou combines the analytical mindset of a Mathematician (MSc in STEM Education) with the drive of a Project & Education Manager to transform complex technological concepts into engaging learning experiences.
In her role as Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic STEM Education Association (E3STEM), she coordinates European programs and initiatives. With extensive experience managing European projects (Erasmus+, Horizon) and educational programs in collaboration with organizations, universities, and NGOs, she bridges Operations Management with cutting-edge instructional content creation (Augmented Reality, STEM, Robotics, OER, Project-Based Learning, AI).
Simultaneously, she coordinates large-scale teams of hundreds of educators for national educational reform projects in Greece, focusing on the new Vocational curricula (P.EPAL, SAEK) and the next-generation national digital school platform (IEP).
As a member of the authoring team for the new official Technology Textbook (IEP, ITYE DIOFANTOS), she steps into Greek classrooms via QR codes, guiding students through Micro:bit programming video tutorials.
As the “digital voice” of the Generation Next platform, she educates students and teachers across Greece, providing step-by-step guidance through interactive workshops and video lessons on Arduino and App Inventor coding, Astronomy, and Citizen Science.
She has volunteered across Europe and Africa at events such as Science Festivals, TEDx Academy, Maker Fairs, and Mind the Lab. Off duty, she trades spreadsheets for rock climbing and cave exploration with SPELEO (Speleology). Drawing inspiration from field research, she connects theoretical science with hands-on technological application — because to her, science combined with nature is the ultimate adventure.
